Remember the GOP debate where a gay US soldier stood up and asked the candidates if they would reinstate the ban on gay troops if elected, and was booed by the right-wing audience? Well, he’s jumping onboard the marriage equality effort in Ohio, the Huffington Post reports:
Leaders of pro-gay-marriage group FreedomOhio said Friday that Columbus resident Stephen Snyder-Hill will help lead outreach efforts… FreedomOhio wants to overturn the 2004 state constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. Supporters started collecting signatures last year to place their own constitutional amendment on the ballot by 2014.
The repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell has freed up our proud military sisters and brothers to continue the fight for full equality inside and outside the military.
